About me

I’m the founder and CEO of Melograno Venture Studio. Over the last decade, I’ve built software products used by 170,000+ businesses worldwide.

I started as a developer, got a PhD in computer sciences, and learned company-building through practice. Technical background, operator mindset.

I don’t care about shortcuts or loud success stories. What matters to me is: disciplined execution, clear systems, long-term thinking – that’s how I approach products, teams, and life in general.

This page is about how I got here, how I think, and what I’m building next.

BIOGRAPHY

I was born in 1985 in Tyumen (Western Siberia, Russia). From the moment I touched my first IBM PC, and spent countless hours playing Prince of Persia, it was clear that technology would become more than just a profession for me.

I went on to study computer science and earned a Ph.D. in 2010. Early in my career, I worked hands-on as a developer, building everything from small scripts and internal tools to production systems used by real businesses.

What started as side projects and problem-driven solutions slowly turned into products. wpDataTables appeared in 2013, WPAmelia in 2018, and later Trafft, IvyForms, and MapSVG as an investment-based partnership. Initially, I wasn’t “building a portfolio”, I was solving problems I had personally faced. Only in hindsight did it become clear that this was the foundation of something larger.
Over the years, individual products turned into a company, and the company gradually turned into a “system”, environment for building and scaling products. In 2025 we branded this system as Melograno Venture Studio – a distributed team of 50+ people building and supporting software used by more than 170,000 businesses worldwide.

My role also evolved along the way. I moved from writing code every day to designing teams, decision frameworks, and operating principles. Today, I spend most of my time on product strategy, leadership structure, capital allocation, and distribution – making sure the company and products within it can grow without losing focus or integrity.

I split my time between Belgrade and Dubai, expanding Melograno’s presence in the UAE and the wider Middle East while continuing to grow globally.

MELOGRANO VENTURE STUDIO

Melograno Venture Studio exists to turn good ideas into useful, “real” software products.

Our mission is simple: develop great software that helps people, and build great teams around it. We build tools that are clear and reliable, and support them over the long term; people use them to run businesses. We focus on products that web professionals and service-based companies can rely on for years, not quarters.

We deliberately avoid hype-chasing growth; instead, we invest in usability, reliability, thoughtful pricing, and teams that can execute consistently. Compounding beats speed – in products, teams, everything else.

My philosophy:

Outside of work, I play piano, enjoy “youngtimer” cars from the ’70s and ’90s, and spend a lot of time moving – running, walking, thinking.

I’ve been alcohol-free for more than four years; I value daily routines that support thought clarity and long-term energy.

I’m building for decades, not headlines. The goal is to build software that still matters in 2035 – for customers, teams, and me.
